One of my most favorite podcast episodes of ALL the podcasts I’ve listened to, is an episode on friendship from @jodymoorecoaching
. When I first listened to it, I was in my garage, on my bike, pedaling and crying away! Because it was exactly what I needed to hear in my season of life. Friendships have always been something I struggle with, for a few reasons that I won’t get into...but listening to this episode, so many lightbulbs went off and aha moments, and I wrote this phrase on a piece of paper and put it on my bathroom mirror. It’s a gentle reminder that not everyone will like me, as much as my people-pleaser-self would like everyone too...and that is perfectly normal. It’s doesn’t mean you should change who you are, try to be something for someone else, or that you’re not good enough for them. There are those who will love you for exactly who you are, and when you find them, hold tight and work at those friendships!
