The whole idea of this trip was sparked by constantly crossing paths on IG with pictures of a little town in the Amalfi Coast called Positano. The entire itinerary revolved around the time in #positano
Fast forward and our schedule points to Positano that day, we wake up and it’s pouring rain, cold, and foggy. In my mind, the thought of being so close to the whole genesis of this trip and not seeing It would’ve been idiotic.
We hopped on a shitty rental scooter, wearing shorts ( cause, we’re so optimistic it’s going to be warm ), a backpack, and we rode up this sierra, through fog so thick you could barely see 20 feet in front of you, rain is pouring, hands and feet are numb. That’s where this picture was taken : everything was going wrong on paper, yet, We had the biggest smile on our faces.
We continue through these tiny roads finally riding over the mountains and we start dropping onto the ocean and what would be the Amalfi Coast. And just like that, the skies clear up, temperature goes up by what felt like 20 degrees, and we are now riding in what feels like a road that can only fit like a freaking Prius.
We keep pressing and a few minutes later, we see up the coastline a tiny town that can only be Positano. We’re both screaming and so ecstatic and we pin it ( granted, this thing tops out at like 30mph, so “pin it” might not be the best term). The rest of the day was a blur of sipping spritz laying in this amazing beach, enjoying like 20 minutes of sunshine, and having the best of adventure with @paaohdz
Bottom line is ... well, i don’t know. Maybe get a better weather app, or rent a faster scooter. Or maybe that it’s good to be stubborn sometimes with shit that you really want.
